Adsense on New Sites

I'm going to be developing several sites over the coming months, and one concern of mine is the "smart pricing" aspect that google has in place.

My understanding is essentially that in order to discourage abuse of sites that are MFA (Made for Adsense), google sets payouts to lower amounts for new sites. It's more complicated than just that, but that's the part of smart pricing that concerns me.

My other concern is that sites that end users do not like advertisements, and it's especially a difficult thing to overcome for fledgling sites. So do I put ads on the sites from the get-go, or do I wait a period of time and place ads on them once I have a dedicated user base?

My strategy, I think, will be to place the ads inoccuously and not all over the sites. That way if there is a time frame to overcome, then I get the clock ticking. My other concern is that I want to monetize the sites early on - if I'm only making a few bucks a day, and I consider this my full time job, then I'm going to need those couple of dollars for food.

I'm hoping that google is smart enough to realize the difference between a site that provides value to the internet community at large and a site that is simply spam.

I'm curious if there is anyone out there who has a more intricate analysis posted of smart-pricing tactics, including similar tactics in play by other advertising revenue systems.
