Being an Adsense publisher, I've learned that it's not just as simple as pasting code into your template structure directly from the adsense portal.
It's also not as simple as finding a blank spot in your layout and sticking the code there either.
Just like any other webmaster task, adsense revenue generation is really an art form. You want your users to see and click on the ads, value them instead of being annoyed by them, and come back to your site so they can click on more ads.
Adsense placement and the appearance of those ads has a lot to do with how much revenue you actually generate. It also has a lot to do with what ads actually show up (placement that is).
I'll be producing a list of layout and integration examples that I think works, along with some layout and integration examples that I can't imagine work at all or are examples of what might get you banned.
Along those lines, a generator for different layout styles is definitely in order. One more thing for the todo list.
