One thing that I've seen others do and I'd like to emulate is pushing out my data in an email. The same data that I would put in an RSS feed could easily be reformatted and sent out in an e-mail.
It's a good way to get people to come back to your site and to keep them updated of all the changes you've made.
Not too spammy though - nobody wants a daily update. Maybe once a week, or monthly. Maybe multiple lists and allow people a choice.
I think it's a good idea anyways. Although I really am getting to the point where I hate e-mail. Owning 47 domains is a serious pain in the butt because everybody under the sun has my email address.
I wish I could just hold up the white flag and surrender to the spammers. If it really is three or four guys who are responsible for 90% of the spam out there, I swear I'd give each of them $500 to just leave me alone permanently. Knowing them, they'd just sell my e-mail address to their minions. Oh well... you get my idea. I think it's a good one.
