Getting a little busy over here

An update on my activities since I don't have anything edited and ready to publish today in the queue.

I'm getting crazy busy over here, but I'm having a LOT of fun. First off, the sitemap utility I've been developing is coming along very nicely. There is still a lot of work to do, but constant redesigns over the past several days has been frustrating to me so I've moved on to other things for the time being.

My mind is just full of ideas - from articles that need writing to web sites that need to be developed for niche markets to software that needs to be written. My brain is in a frenzy.

I can say that the last two hours have been more productive than they have been the last several days.

I've been a little bothered the last couple of days because of my mother-in-law and what can only can be described as a disturbing lack of emotion where my children are involved. I don't want to waste energy filling in the details - who knows what I might regret later on, but it certainly has affected my capability to be as productive as possible.

Another thing eating at my mind is revenue. I have big dreams of becoming a professional full time webmaster, but the more I think about it, the more I need to refrain from implementing revenue generating ideas in the near term future because of the inherent structural issues involved. You want to begin monetizing sites immediately, but at the same time it makes sense to refrain from advertising to rake in visitors, gain customer appreciation, and inspire community loyalty.

On the bright side and also zig-zagging topics - I think I've finally conceptualized a decent moveable type/vbulletin integration that would be both simple to develop and implement, while at the same time producing an effective interface where people don't need to maintain separate logins. Might not sound all that special to you, but I've been peripherally thinking about this over the course of the last 16 months.
