This has been my problem for a long time - I need to actually publish things rather than just waiting around until I have everything perfect. You don't get any traffic unless you actually put up some web pages.
This is day 2 on my "Taking Over the World" project. So far I've done a lot of Perl work, a little bit of writing, and I've played with my kids a great deal. For right now, the priorities are in order. No sense in taking over the world if you don't get to have fun with your family while you are doing it.
So... Two tasks now. One, I'm changing the address from blog.stevekallestad.com to http://www.stevekallestad.com/blog/
Once that is taken care of, I'm putting a publication date on all of my entries and I'm going to try to get them edited a day or two in advance so that all the links are in the right places. (I want to link between articles, but since they aren't published yet, I don't know what the permalinks will be).
In a couple of days, I'll revisite the site template and css to my liking and perhaps add some adsense ads if I feel the need. From there I'll actually insert my SixApart key and start pinging various services.
Of course, this entry won't get published for a month, but you'll see if I've actually made any progress by the time you have read this. (I'm pushing for a 1 article/day publishing schedule, and I have much more than that written at the moment, but there are going to be plenty of days that I won't have time to write)
I have to start publishing! Feedback
