![]() | Steve, I read your blog entry about optimizing vBulletin, good stuff. This forum is flying! I manage a network of vBulletin based forums. Any desire to do some freelance work? If you don't mind, could you email me at ... so I can ask you about a few other things. Regards, Andy R | ||

| Runs This Show | Andy, Unfortunately I have other work on my plate that I feel is very important. I certainly would not mind sharing any ideas or knowledge I have with you regarding vBulletin, but honestly, I think I'll have a free product that will blow the doors off of vB within 3 months, maybe less. E-mail sent. | ||

| Runs This Show | The medium makes no difference to me. I was referring to a free product competitive with vBulletin. | ||

| Runs This Show | One of the very first and most important optimizations you can do is in regards to your static files. 1) Ideally, migrate your static files to a lighttpd server configured for static files. 2) Ensure that proper cache headers are being sent so that repeat visitors don't have to keep re-downloading them. | ||
