Overview

The KDF front end is entirely web based. Firefox is the primary supported interface platform, with effort made to support IE and Safari as well. Opera support is entirely accidental if it happens.

The reason that Firefox is the primary platform is that Firefox is available on multiple platforms - Linux, Apple platforms, Windows, etc. Firefox also has a habit of actually supporting standards as they are defined, which makes development easier. There are also a number of coding utilities available for Firefox that don't have equivalents within the other browsers, or are functionally hampered.
