Licensing

Overview
Licensing for the Kallestad Development Framework is something that has kept me up nights for a very long time.
Obviously, I've put a great deal of work into this framework, and I did so expecting some sort of return on all of the hours that went into designing and developing it.
At this point, I've come to two absolute conclusions regarding licensing:
- A free version must always be available.
- OK, really just one absolute conclusion.
Having a free version available is the best way to ensure that my work will be adopted by others, and the best way to ensure that all of my work gets used.
There are certainly peripheral concerns - like how am I going to make any money, how much freedom should be available to other end users, and how much of the source code should be public. Support issues play into licensing concerns as well. At this point, no decisions have been made.
