So what the heck is a Wiki and why do I have one up on my site?
A wiki is pretty simply a set of web pages that are easily editable. On many sites wiki's are editable by end users, but I haven't quite figured out this whole administration thing so you can't do that yet.
I have this in place to help organize my thoughts, my software documentation, and to create an area on my site that can serve as a placeholder for things before I get around to building web pages around them. I actually got around to installing this before I got around to building any sort of unified template for my own website, so you can imagine that the ease of use probably has something to do with it.
This wiki is powered by MediaWiki - which is the Wiki platform that runs wikipedia.
